What is photogrammetry?

Photogrammetry is a remote sensing technique that captures detailed images from multiple angles using standard cameras. By analyzing the overlapping areas of these images and using algorithms to track key points, the software calculates the distance and orientation of objects in the scene. Combined with GPS data and ground control points (GCPs), photogrammetry reconstructs a 3D model of the environment, creating an accurate visual representation of terrain, buildings, and other structures.

Photogrammetry Advantages

01

Time Efficiency

Capable of capturing large areas with ease, photogrammetry is an invaluable tool for large scale projects.

02

Orthomosaics

Capture accurate orthomosaics of your projects for plainmetrics and to documentation project throughout its lifecycle.

03

Cost Efficiency

Photogrammetry has a low barrier of entry, just a camera to get started. With many purpose built drones available its never been easier to get started with photogrammetry mapping.

04

Photorealistic models

Able to create photorealistic models for digital twins, virtual inspections, or video game assets.
